Roof Fire at Ümraniye Furniture Factory
A fire broke out at a furniture factory in Istanbul’s Umraniye district earlier today. The incident occurred on Sarıgazi Yolu Street in the Esenşehir Neighbourhood, where flames engulfed the roof of the two-storey building for reasons yet unknown.
Emergency services including police, fire, and medical teams quickly responded to the scene after receiving reports of the fire. Security personnel also took measures to secure the area while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
Despite their efforts, the factory sustained significant damage as a result of the fire. Fortunately, there were no reports of any injuries or casualties during the incident.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire as the damaged furniture factory begins the process of assessing the extent of the destruction and considering plans for recovery.
