RTÜK President and Deputy Chairman respond to FETO fugitive Bülent Korucu
FETO fugitive Bülent Korucu recently made a Twitter post targeting Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) President Ebubekir Şahin and his deputy İbrahim Uslu. However, Korucu received a strong response from the RTÜK officials.
Chairman Ebubekir Şahin referred to Korucu as “an immoral FETO terrorist organization on a leash” in his response. He stated that the organization had targeted him and his assistant İbrahim Bey. Similarly, the Deputy Chairman Bülent Uslu shared his thoughts and said that individuals like Korucu come from a tradition of cloning a man with just one dollar. He says that they mistook them for FETO members who thought they were like them.
Both RTÜK officials made it clear that they will not tolerate any attacks against them and would continue to fight against the organization. FETO, or the Fetullah Terrorist Organization, was responsible for the July 2016 coup attempt in Turkey, where more than 250 people lost their lives. Since then, the government has taken strict measures against the organization and its followers.
