Ministry of Interior Announces Land Distribution in Rural Areas
The Ministry of Interior has announced the distribution of land to the landowners in rural areas of Turkmenköy, Bridge, Çayönü, and Güvercinlik. A total of 447 individuals have been identified as the rightful holders of the land in these areas, and ceremonies were held in the villages to announce the distribution.
The distribution of land rights included 78 individuals in Turkmenköy, 10 in Bridge, 146 in Çayönü, and 213 in Güvercinlik. The ceremonies were attended by President Ersin Tatar, Prime Minister Ünal Üsel, Interior Minister Dursun Oğuz, and other government officials, as well as regional Mukhtars and citizens.
Beyarmudu Mayor Bülent Bebek expressed his gratitude for the long-awaited distribution of land in the region, highlighting the government’s support for local projects and investments. Interior Minister Dursun Oguz emphasized the importance of preserving rural lands and preventing their sale or transfer, stating that such actions are considered crimes and will be met with legal sanctions.
Prime Minister Ünal Üsel reassured the public of the government’s commitment to improving the TRNC and increasing the welfare of its citizens. He announced plans for further investments and development projects in various regions, including the provision of social housing and support for young entrepreneurs.
President Ersin Tatar commended the close cooperation between the TRNC and the Republic of Turkey, emphasizing the importance of continued development and growth in the region. He urged young people to invest in their communities and build a prosperous future for themselves and their families.
