Russia Accuses USA of Deliberately Prolonging Conflict in Ukraine
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu recently spoke at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Defense Ministers Meeting in Astana, Kazakhstan. During his speech, Shoigu highlighted the expanding nature of the SCO, with Iran joining as a member and Belarus expected to do the same soon.
Shoigu emphasized the importance of taking necessary steps to ensure stability and security in the SCO region. He also made some bold statements regarding the Russia-Ukraine War, accusing the United States of creating the problem in Ukraine and prolonging the conflict deliberately.
The Defense Minister mentioned that Western military experts were involved in planning sabotage actions in Russia, with Ukraine using weapons received from the West against Russia. Shoigu also pointed out Ukrainian involvement in a recent terrorist attack in Moscow and attacks on the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant, which he deemed alarming.
Furthermore, Shoigu addressed the issue of NATO expanding and approaching Russian borders, posing threats to military security. He clarified that Russia does not pose a threat to NATO and is focused on maintaining strategic stability and balance of power in the world.
Shoigu also commented on unresolved crises in the Middle East, warning that tensions between Israel and Iran could escalate if not addressed through political and diplomatic means. He called on all relevant parties to exercise restraint and work towards resolving the issues peacefully.
