Russia Calls for Accountability for US Crimes against Countries and Peoples

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Comments on Current Issues
At a weekly press conference in Moscow, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova addressed a number of current issues, including the killing of American soldiers on the Jordan-Syria border and Russia’s relations with Japan.
Regarding the killing of American soldiers, Zakharova responded to US President Joe Biden’s statement that the US would respond to the attack by criticizing Washington for not being held accountable for its actions. She stated that it is time for the US to answer for the crimes it has committed and suggested that Washington can only answer with force.
In addition, Zakharova warned Japan that Russia would respond harshly to any hostile actions by the Japanese administration. This statement came after Russia decided to reject peace negotiations with Japan over the Kuril Islands dispute due to Japan’s “unfriendly” approach.
Zakharova also commented on the decision of Mali, Burkina Faso, and Niger to leave the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), saying that Russia is following the situation and hopes that the emerging problems will be solved through dialogue based on equality and mutual respect.
The statements made by Zakharova shed light on Russia’s stance on various international issues and reflect the country’s determination to respond firmly to any perceived threats or unfriendly actions from other nations.
