According to a statement released on the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force, the Russian army deployed 78 “Shahed” type UAVs, with 60 of them being destroyed by the Ukrainian Air Force.

The statement revealed that two UAVs managed to return to Russia, one continued flying towards Belarus, and 15 were lost in Ukrainian territory. Fortunately, there were no reports of casualties or damage as a result of the attacks.

Additionally, it was mentioned in the statement that the Russians also utilized an Iskander-M type ballistic missile in the assault.

In the capital city of Kiev, the air raid alert lasted for nine hours, as confirmed by the head of the Kiev City Military Administration, Sergey Popko. Despite the alarm and sounds of explosions heard in the city due to the defense systems working actively, there were no reported casualties or damages in Kiev. Popko reassured the public by stating that there was currently no potential air threat to the capital.

Kiev Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko also took to his Telegram account to inform the residents about the situation, emphasizing the activation of defense systems in response to the air strike on the city.
