Russian Forces Seize Volkovo Settlement in Donetsk Region
The Ministry of Defense of Russia has released a statement providing updates on the activities of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine. According to the statement, Russian troops are intensifying their positions on the front in Ukraine, with the Central Military Group troops successfully liberating the Volkovo settlement of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
The statement also highlighted that within the last 24 hours, attacks were carried out on various Ukrainian energy elements, military airport infrastructure, UAV assembly and storage centers, as well as locations where soldiers and military equipment are stationed in 148 regions. Since the commencement of the military operation, a significant number of Ukrainian military assets have been destroyed, including aircraft, helicopters, UAVs, air defense missile systems, tanks, armored vehicles, rocket launchers, howitzers, mortars, and military vehicles.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense revealed that Ukraine attempted to attack Russian territory using UAVs at night. Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 55 Ukrainian UAVs, with the majority being shot down over various Russian regions such as Bryansk, Rostov, Smolensk, Voronezh, Saratov, and Kursk.
The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues to escalate, with both sides actively engaging in military operations. The situation remains tense, and the international community closely monitors the developments in the region.
