Russian tourist leaves Çavuşoğlu’s office to meet with Kılıçdaroğlu

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu spoke to citizens in the Alanya district of Antalya and took aim at the Nation Alliance Presidential Candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. In his speech, Çavuşoğlu emphasized that the Turkish nation will demonstrate their deep foresight and intelligence to both friends and foes on May 14th, just as they have demonstrated for the previous 21 years. Minister Çavuşoğlu stated, “As the People’s Alliance, we will never stop speaking the truth,” while emphasizing that the voice of the New Turkey, created by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will dominate across all regions with the People’s Alliance. Çavuşoğlu noted that as a nation that has shown its deep foresight and intelligence for 21 years, they will continue to display these characteristics, stating “we will grow as we work together, rise as we grow, and guide the era as we rise.”
Minister Çavuşoğlu also criticized the Presidential candidate of the Nation Alliance, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. He stated, “Now, you are looking at Kılıçdaroğlu saying ‘this policy is wrong, we will change it and impose sanctions on the Russians,’ but are we giving up on Atatürk’s ‘Peace at home, peace in the world’ principle? But if you impose sanctions, my shopkeepers in Antalya will lose. You will impose sanctions, my Antalya farmers will lose. You will impose sanctions, and my Antalya tourism operators will lose. Why should we give up our policy of balance, which is envied by the whole world, in order to benefit the West and be friendly with those who designed you? Even when the word ‘sanction’ was put into their mouths, the number of tourists coming to Antalya decreased by 80 percent. There should have been many tourists here on May 1, their victory day on May 9, but they all went to other countries. We have to work again to bring them back.”
Minister Çavuşoğlu concluded his speech by stating that the opposition does not care about their homeland, nation, or tourism, and these are highly irresponsible.
