Şahali’s Analysis of BRT Agenda – BRTK

CTP Group Deputy Chairman Erkut Şahali recently appeared on the 18th Hour program on BRT to discuss the government’s meeting on the cost of living allowance. During the program, Şahali emphasized the importance of the government listening to their suggestions and recommendations.

“We have been providing advice to the government on what they should and should not do,” Şahali stated. “It is crucial for them to consider our input and take it into account when making decisions.”

Regarding the Development Plan for the period 2025-2029, Şahali responded to UBP Group Deputy Chairman Ahmet Savaşan’s comments on social media. He expressed disappointment that the government had worked in a closed-circuit manner on the development program, rather than using a participatory approach as promised.

“We have not had the opportunity to thoroughly examine the text of the Development Plan,” Şahali explained. “However, from what we have seen so far, it appears to be more focused on communication and propaganda rather than actual development strategies. It will be challenging for this text to pass through Parliament and provide meaningful guidance for the next five years.”

Şahali urged the government to reconsider their approach and take into account the suggestions provided by experts and stakeholders in order to create a comprehensive and effective Development Plan.
