Salim Güran’s lawyer takes action in Narin Güran case

Lawyer representing Salim Güran in Narin Güran case takes legal action against court decision
Onur Akdag, the lawyer of Salim Güran, has taken action against the decision made in the trial at the 8th High Criminal Court related to the case of Narin Güran. The lawyer has requested for the case to be sent to the Diyarbakır Regional Court of Justice.
In the petition submitted to the court, it was emphasized that in the decision hearing on December 28, 2024, Narin Güran’s lifeless body was found and the neighbor Nevzat Bahtiyar confessed to the crime of “deliberate killing against the child”. Additionally, Nevzat Bahtiyar was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months in prison for destroying, hiding, or altering evidence.
The petition stated that the decision made by the local court is considered to be procedural and unlawful. The lawyer demanded that the decision be reconsidered and that a new examination be carried out. It was further requested that Salim Güran and Nevzat Bahtiyar be acquitted of the charges and that separate punishments be decided for them.
The defendants in the case, which involved Anne Yüksel, brother Enes, and uncle Salim Güran, were sentenced to different terms for their involvement in the crime. The trial, which resulted in the sentencing of Nevzat Bahtiyar to imprisonment, raised questions about the fairness of the decision.
The legal battle surrounding the Narin Güran case is ongoing, as the defendant’s lawyer seeks justice and fairness in the judicial process.
