Tragic Death of 2-Year-Old Sıla Y. Sparks Outrage and Calls for Justice
In a heartbreaking turn of events, 2-year-old Sıla Y. passed away yesterday at Tekirdağ City Hospital after being treated for a month for injuries sustained from alleged sexual abuse and violence. Little Sıla, who was reportedly a victim of abuse by her neighbors’ children in Malkara district, fought for her life while intubated in the intensive care unit. Despite the efforts of medical staff, her condition continued to worsen until she tragically succumbed to her injuries.
As the investigation into her case unfolds, with 5 individuals including Sıla’s mother Bakiye Y. and the neighbor’s children in custody, her family is left to mourn the loss of their beloved child. At the hospital morgue, the emotional scene unfolded as Sıla’s two aunts received her body. One aunt, Aslı Tatar, expressed her devastation at the loss, questioning how anyone could harm such an innocent child. She professed her love for Sıla and vowed to seek justice for her untimely death.
The family is preparing for Sıla’s funeral, which will take place at Yeni Şehir Cemetery following a prayer at Altınova Yeni Mosque.
