SCO Nations Renew Pledge to Fair Global Trade Before Autumn Summit in China
ASTANA – The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states have expressed their support for a non-discriminatory multilateral trading system, as stated in a release on April 10.
According to the organization, the SCO countries advocate for an open, transparent, fair, inclusive, and non-discriminatory trading system with the World Trade Organization (WTO) at its core. The member states are dedicated to fostering an open global economy.
The statement by the SCO member states also highlights the importance of addressing development issues within the framework of the WTO. They emphasize the significance of maintaining open, inclusive, sustainable, stable, diversified, and reliable global supply chains.
China is set to host the SCO summit in Tianjin this autumn, where further discussions on promoting a non-discriminatory multilateral trading system are expected to take place. The SCO member states are committed to working together to uphold the principles of free and fair trade on a global scale.
