Search Operation for 3 People After Boat Sinks in Kastamonu
A 5-meter fiber boat named “Maviş” sank off the coast of Gideros Bay in the Cide district of Kastamonu, leaving 3 people missing. The boat, carrying 6 people on a tour, went down for unknown reasons 2 miles offshore.
Luckily, upon hearing sounds of distress, individuals on a nearby fishing boat were able to rescue 3 of the passengers. These rescued individuals were promptly taken to Cide State Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
In response to the incident, various emergency response teams including the Coast Guard Command, UMKE, AFAD, and gendarmerie have launched a search and rescue operation to locate the remaining missing passengers. The authorities are working diligently to ensure the safety and well-being of those involved in this unfortunate boating accident.
