SEÇSİS: The Election Information System and Its Users
Turkey’s election system is set to become more secure and transparent thanks to a new initiative called “Choice Purpose of Use”. The initiative has been designed to keep the identity and address information of voters in a single, up-to-date central database based on the TR Identity Number. This will assist in the continuous updating of electoral rolls, which will be shared with political parties qualified to participate in the elections.
In addition, the “Choice Purpose of Use” initiative will enable the fast and safe transfer of election results from districts to the center. Political parties will also be able to view the ballot box results minutes and election results simultaneously, ensuring transparency in the voting process.
Furthermore, the initiative is expected to make elections in Turkey more efficient and cost-effective. This will be achieved by conducting elections in a fast, healthy, economical, transparent, and auditable manner. The press and the public can also watch the election results over the internet, adding an extra layer of transparency to the process.
With this new initiative, Turkey aims to ensure that its electoral process is secure, transparent, and up-to-date. It is hoped that these measures will prevent incidents of electoral fraud and ensure that voters can trust the results of elections.
