Selçuk Bayraktar announces plans for over 10 Red Apple drones in the air by 2026
Baykar Chairman of the Board of Directors, Selçuk Bayraktar, recently appeared on Ülke TV to share exciting news about the Red Apple project. According to Bayraktar, there are plans to have more than 10 Red Apple drones in the air by 2026. He mentioned that the mass production of these drones has already begun, with the aim of producing over 10 by 2026.
In his statements, Bayraktar highlighted the importance of local production, stating that all components of the Red Apple drones are made in Turkey, except for the jet engine which is sourced from Ukraine. However, he emphasized that efforts are being made to reduce dependency on foreign suppliers and that there are plans to have multiple engine options for the Red Apple drones in the coming years.
Bayraktar also stressed the importance of continuous training for personnel operating these drones, as they require a different approach compared to traditional manned aircraft. He drew parallels with the development of artificial intelligence, pointing out how quickly machines can be trained compared to human pilots.
