Who is Tom Barrack?
Tom Barrack, 77, was born in California and pursued his undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California, later gaining his law degree from San Diego University. Coming from a Lebanese Christian immigrant family that settled in the U.S. in 1900, Barrack grew up in Culver City, Los Angeles, where his family ran a grocery store.
During his academic years, he was active in sports, joining the rugby team and later working as a lawyer in Saudi Arabia. In the 1980s, he served as Deputy Undersecretary at the Department of the Interior under President Ronald Reagan. His close ties to Reagan and his involvement in various governmental roles have shaped his political career.
