In a highly anticipated derby match in the Turkish Super Lig, Beşiktaş defeated their rivals Galatasaray 2-0 at home. Beşiktaş coach Şenol Güneş formed a strong defensive quartet of Valentin Rosier, Romain Saiss, Omar Colley, and Arthur Masuaku, delivering the castle to goalkeeper Mert Günok.
In the midfield, Salih Uçan, Gedson Fernandes, and Amir Hadziahmetovic were assigned by the experienced coach. He then gave form to the offensive line of Nathan Redmond, Cenk Tosun, and Vincent Aboubakar.
Valentin Rosier played as a right defender and did not disappoint, keeping his uniform for the entire match. The Beşiktaş Ceylan Women’s Volleyball Team was also present before the game as they had recently won the Volleyball Women’s 1st League championship.
Former teammates Andreas Beck and Atiba Hutchison were seen chatting before the match. Beck previously played for Beşiktaş between 2015-2017, and had contributed in winning two championships in a row.
Burak Yılmaz, who has played for both Beşiktaş and Galatasaray in the past, was also present in the stadium to watch the match. The victory is a huge morale boost for Beşiktaş and its fans, as the team continues to strive for success in the Super Lig.
