Sönmezliler Ocak to Commemorate Martyrs from the September 9 Front
The Sönmezliler Ocak has announced that they will be holding a ceremony to commemorate the September 9 Front Martyrs, who lost their lives in an explosion while manufacturing bombs 67 years ago. The ceremony will take place on Saturday, honoring the memory of Ulus Ülfet (27), İsmail Beyoğlu (24), Kubilay Altaylı (16), and Mustafa Ertan (15) – the “first martyrs” who tragically passed away on August 31, 1957.
The event will begin at 09:30 in front of the First Step Monument at Kurtuluş Square, located in front of the Sönmezliler Ocağı Center in Yenişehir. Following the initial ceremony, a second commemoration will be held at the martyrs’ graves in Küçük Kaymaklı Cemetery.
The Sönmezliler Ocak has extended an invitation to all members, relatives of the martyrs, combat associations, and the general public to attend the ceremony and pay their respects to these brave individuals.
Mark your calendars for this solemn occasion and join in honoring the memory of the September 9 Front Martyrs.
