Serbian Deputy PM Warns of Assassination Plot Against Hungarian PM Orbán

Serbian Interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin recently made claims about an assassination plot against Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. According to reports in Serbian and Russian media, Vulin stated that a criminal group planned to kill Orbán due to his pro-peace stance. However, Hungary’s Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has not been made aware of any assassination attempts.
Vulin also mentioned previous assassination attempts against Slovak PM Robert Fico, US presidential candidate Donald Trump, and the murder of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. He disclosed information about an alleged assassination plot against Orbán being prepared by criminal groups, citing his access to such information as Serbia’s interior minister.
In response to Vulin’s claims, Szijjártó stated that he had not heard of any such attempts on Orbán’s life. He highlighted that the government, prime minister, and country are constantly facing legal, financial, and political attacks. The conflicting information between Vulin’s claims and Szijjártó’s response has sparked discussions in the media about the alleged assassination plot.
