Sergeant Specialized in Unit Martyred from Brain Hemorrhage
Provincial Gendarmerie Command Specialist Sergeant Ahmet Tugay has tragically passed away after suffering a brain hemorrhage while on duty. The incident occurred as he was pulling an electrical cable to the roof of the meeting room in his unit. Despite the efforts of doctors at Adıyaman Training and Research Hospital, Tugay could not be saved and was ultimately martyred.
A ceremony was held in his honor at the Provincial Gendarmerie Command Special Operations Battalion Command, where he served. The ceremony was attended by Adıyaman Governor Osman Varol, Mayor Süleyman Kılınç, the martyr’s wife Nejla, his children Ramazan (5) and Eşref (3), as well as his comrades-in-arms. The martyr’s CV was read, and a prayer was offered by Provincial Mufti Mevlüt Haliloğlu. It was a deeply emotional event, with tears shed by the relatives of the fallen soldier.
After the ceremony, the martyr’s body, draped in the Turkish flag, was sent to his hometown, Ermenek district of Karaman, for burial. The entire community is mourning the loss of Specialist Sergeant Ahmet Tugay, who dedicated his life to serving and protecting his country. He will be remembered for his bravery and sacrifice.
