Severe Rains Trigger Landslide in Marmaris
Heavy rain in Marmaris caused a landslide on the road leading to Bayır District, resulting in dozens of vehicles getting stranded and transportation coming to a halt. The incident occurred around 20:00, as rocks and soil masses fell on the road due to the adverse weather conditions.
Fortunately, the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality and Marmaris Municipality acted swiftly by sending construction equipment to the site to begin road opening work. Thanks to the prompt intervention of the teams, the road was cleared and reopened to traffic within just 30 minutes, minimizing the impact of the landslide on transportation in the area.
