Severe Storm Warning in Hungary: Hail and Lightning Expected – Weather Update

The summer weather in Hungary is becoming increasingly limited to smaller areas, as the Hungarian Meteorological Service issued a first-level, yellow alert across the country on Saturday.
According to HungaroMet, the primary threat in the affected regions is lightning, with the possibility of strong winds and hailstorms in some cases. The service mentioned that if they withdraw the first-level alert or escalate it to a second-level warning, a new announcement will be issued.
In a Facebook post, HungaroMet explained that the summer-like weather in Hungary has shrunk to smaller areas after heavy rainfall across Central Europe. While temperatures in the eastern border region reached 28-29°C on Saturday, rain and cooler weather are expected to move in soon.
As the rain zone gradually takes over most of the country, HungaroMet is keeping a close eye on the changing weather patterns. Stay updated by following their Facebook page for the latest updates.
