Prime Minister Ünal Üstel Attends TRNC Culture and Promotion Days in Azerbaijan
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel recently attended the opening gala night of the TRNC Culture and Promotion Days in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The event saw the participation of numerous Non-Governmental Organizations, chamber and union representatives from the TRNC, as well as Azerbaijani MPs, Ministers, non-governmental organization representatives, and business people.
Üstel described the night as a significant step towards confirming the concept of three states and one nation, as well as fostering diplomatic, cultural, and economic relations between the TRNC and Azerbaijan. He expressed his belief that the event would contribute to the development of stronger ties between the two nations.
During the event, Üstel had the opportunity to meet with a number of Azerbaijani politicians, who he stated were prepared for even greater steps to be taken in the future. He emphasized the warm reception and respect they received from the Azerbaijani people, comparing it to the hospitality shown by their motherland, Turkey.
Üstel also made reference to Mevlana’s quote, “It is not those who speak the same language, but those who share the same feelings, who get along.” He expressed his joy in experiencing the same sense of shared language and feelings in Baku, noting the happiness it brought him.
The TRNC Culture and Promotion Days in Azerbaijan serve as a platform for strengthening cultural and economic ties between the TRNC and Azerbaijan. The event provides an opportunity for both nations to celebrate their shared history, traditions, and values.
