“Shared Sacrifices Essential for All Stakeholders” – BRTK
The Deputy President and President of the Republic Assembly Zorlu Töre recently paid a visit to the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU). The purpose of the visit was to address the challenges faced by the university and to show support for finding solutions.
During the visit, Töre emphasized the government’s commitment to resolving the problems faced by EMU and stressed the importance of making sacrifices for the university, which is considered a prestige for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). He also expressed confidence in the newly elected administration’s ability to address the issues.
Erdal Özcenk, the Chairman of EMU Foundations Board of Directors, highlighted the vital role of state contribution in sustaining EMU as a leading institution of higher education in Cyprus.
In response to Töre’s visit, EMU Rector Hasan Kılıç expressed hope in overcoming the university’s challenges with the support of the state, while also acknowledging that there are difficulties.
