Shareholders vow to support repairs after drone attack on Caspian Pipeline

Shareholders of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) have pledged their support for repairs at the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station following the drone attack on Feb. 17. The damaged station is expected to undergo repairs that will take approximately two months to complete.

During a recent meeting in Abu Dhabi on Feb. 25-26, CPC General Director Nikolay Gorban provided an update on the damage sustained, the current condition of equipment, progress in dismantling work, and the mobilization of contractors. Additionally, Gorban reviewed the business status of CPC and highlighted the organization’s strong performance in Health, Safety, and Environment standards.

CPC reported impressive safety records for the year 2024, with nearly 15 million man-hours logged by personnel without any injuries or incidents. Furthermore, company vehicles traveled over 33 million kilometers without any accidents, and there were no recorded failures in mechanical or process equipment.

The support from shareholders and the diligent efforts of CPC personnel and contractors demonstrate a commitment to ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations at the Kropotkinskaya oil pumping station. With repairs underway, the consortium aims to restore the station to full functionality in the coming months.
