Shepherd Aid Increased to 30,000 TL – Latest Update
The latest agricultural support measures have been announced by the government in the Official Gazette, with a significant increase in support for animal husbandry. This increase aims to promote sustainability and efficiency in the sector.
One of the key changes includes a substantial increase in the Herd Manager (shepherd) Support, which has gone up from 12 thousand TL in 2022 to 30 thousand TL in 2023, marking a 150 percent increase. Additionally, the Ram and Goat Purchasing Support has been set at 2 thousand TL/head in 2023 to encourage sheep breeding and enhance productivity and herd quality.
Calf Support has also seen a significant increase from 900 TL/head in 2022 to 2,100 TL/head in 2023, representing a 133 percent rise. Moreover, every calf born in 2023 will be eligible for this support. Furthermore, Heifer Purchase Support will now be implemented at a 50 percent grant rate for disease-free enterprises.
In line with these changes, the Breeder Sheep Goat Support has been doubled from 50 TL/head in 2022 to 100 TL/head in 2023, marking a 100 percent increase. These changes are aimed at providing substantial support to livestock farmers and promoting the development and sustainability of the animal husbandry sector.
