Shepherd Struck by Lightning Receives Prompt Medical Care
A shepherd identified only as SA was struck by lightning while grazing his animals on a high plateau near Dedemaksut village in the city center.
Upon receiving notification, the 112 Emergency Call Center immediately dispatched health and gendarmerie teams to the area. The teams, equipped with a 4×4 vehicle and 2 ambulances, braved the heavy rain to reach the village’s Köroğlu hamlet. There, they provided critical first aid to the injured shepherd before transporting him to Ağrı Training and Research Hospital after two hours of work.
Fortunately, it was reported that SA’s condition is stable and he is in good health. Thanks to the swift response of the emergency teams, the shepherd was able to receive the necessary medical attention in a timely manner.
