Shoplifting Suspect Arrested After 3-Day Stakeout at Adana Shopping Center
Police in the Province of Adana successfully apprehended a suspect involved in a jewelry robbery at a shopping center. The incident, which took place on February 2, saw the suspect attempting to flee after stealing 3 kilograms of gold and 100 thousand pounds.
After the alarm was raised by the jeweler’s private security teams, the local police department quickly took action. They closed off all entrances and exits of the shopping center and deployed teams to surrounding roads to prevent the suspect from escaping.
The suspect, who had managed to hide in a ventilation cavity within the shopping center, was eventually located by AFAD teams who provided technical support. Following a thorough examination of the suspect’s workplace, the suspect was found attempting to escape through the ventilation system.
Despite attempting to elude capture by jumping to a job on the ground floor, the suspect was apprehended by the police. After being taken into custody, the suspect underwent a health check at the Adana Forensic Medicine unit.
The incident, which occurred in the Yüreğir district of Adana, serves as a reminder of the importance of swift and effective police action in preventing and solving crimes.
