Tragedy Strikes at Rural Wedding in Turkey: Man Dies After Being Shot at Sister’s Wedding
A rural wedding held in the Merkez Park of the Reşatbey District in the Seyhan district ended in tragedy when 48-year-old Ali Y. was shot in the chest with a pistol. The incident occurred on Saturday, May 13, at approximately 10:00 PM local time.
According to reports, an unidentified person attacked Ali Y. during his sister’s wedding, resulting in the fatal shooting. The sound of gunshots prompted a large number of police teams to be dispatched to the area.
Ali Y. was quickly taken to Adana City Hospital by his relatives, where he was treated for serious injuries. However, he tragically succumbed to his injuries and passed away in the hospital early the next morning.
Authorities have taken Ali Y.’s body to Adana Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy. The investigation is ongoing, as police work to identify the shooter and establish a motive for the attack.
