Physically Disabled Sports Federation of Turkey Draws Lots for European Championship
The upcoming European Championship for physically disabled athletes, to be held in the Italian city of Caorle on 9-15 October, has had its lots drawn by the Physically Disabled Sports Federation of Turkey. The tournament will accommodate 10 women’s and 12 men’s teams, with Turkey being represented in both categories of competition.
In the women’s category, Turkey will compete in Group A alongside Italy, Germany, Hungary and Croatia. Meanwhile, the men’s team will be in Group B, and will face stiff competition from Serbia, Germany, Ukraine, Hungary and Latvia.
This marks an important step forward for Turkey’s ongoing commitment to promoting equal opportunity, as physically disabled athletes are given the chance to demonstrate their talent and compete at an international level.
