Sivas hosts successful Senior Weightlifting Championships in Turkey
Turkish Weightlifting Federation Holds National Championship
The Turkish Weightlifting Federation recently held its national championship, with hundreds of male and female athletes participating in the competition. The event took place at the 4 Eylül Sports Hall, hosted by the Sivas Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports.
In the women’s championship, the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Ankaraspor team won first place with 207 points, while the Kuyulu Sebil Sports Club took the second spot with 205 points, and Gaziantep Tunca Sports Club secured third place with 204 points. In the men’s competition, Ankara ASKİ Sports Club emerged as the champion, scoring 249 points. Meanwhile, Ankara Metropolitan Belediyespor finished second with 207 points, and Ankaragücü claimed the third spot with 146 points.
Federation Vice President Yasin Arslan, Board Members Murat Coşkun, Ali Özkan, Ebubekir Ayaz, and Secretary General İsa Ayan presented the trophies to the winning teams.
The competition showcased the incredible strength and skill of Turkish weightlifters, and it was an excellent opportunity for athletes to demonstrate their abilities at the national level.
