Sixteen Accused of War Crimes Brought to Justice by Kamran Aliyev
Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev recently spoke at a conference in Khankandi, emphasizing the importance of holding accountable those who have committed crimes against the people and the state of Azerbaijan. The conference, titled “Heydar Aliyev and Sovereign Azerbaijan,” shed light on the serious offenses carried out by the Armenian state, its armed forces, and the self-proclaimed “Nagorno-Karabakh Republic” in the once-occupied territories of Azerbaijan.
Aliyev revealed that the investigation into criminal cases involving 16 individuals accused of war crimes has been completed, and the cases have been forwarded to the Baku Military Court for trial. Legal proceedings are currently underway to ensure justice is served for the victims of these crimes.
This development marks a significant step forward in the pursuit of accountability for those who have caused harm to the peace and humanity of Azerbaijan. The government’s commitment to upholding justice and the rule of law in the face of such atrocities is commendable.
