Snowstorm Causes Traffic Chaos in Kop Mountain Pass
Snowfall in the region yesterday at noon continued to cause disruptions in transportation. The intense snowfall reduced visibility on the route, making it difficult for vehicles to progress, especially heavy tonnage vehicles that got stuck on the road.
The Bayburt Regional Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate deployed teams to provide controlled passage for heavy tonnage vehicles affected by the snow and type. These teams are also warning other drivers to be cautious while using the passage.
In order to prevent traffic interruptions on intercity roads, road teams are working tirelessly, while municipal teams are clearing snow in the city center. The snowfall and type have caused significant challenges in transportation in the region, but authorities are taking measures to ensure the safety of drivers and passengers.
