
SONAR’s 2022 Istanbul Survey Reveals Voting Rates: Hakan Bayrakçı Shares Results for İmamoğlu

SONAR Research Company founder Hakan Bayrakçı has revealed the latest survey results regarding the voting rates of People’s Alliance Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Candidate Murat Kurum and CHP candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu just days before the local elections.
According to the survey, Murat Kurum is at 41.3% while Ekrem İmamoğlu is at 41.9%. The DEM Party has a 4.8% voting rate, İYİ Party has 4%, and the Re-Welfare Party has a 2.5% rate.
Bayrakçı emphasized that the strategy of both the DEM and CHP parties in this election was well planned and calculated. He stated that there is a margin of error of around 1.8 in these surveys and confirmed that there is a head-to-head situation with the difference below 1 point.
The İYİ Party also has a voting rate of around 4%, and other parties collectively receive approximately 5.5%. With the election being this close, candidates like İmamoğlu and Kurum may come back to hold other parties accountable for any points lost.
With these latest survey results, the stage is set for an intense and closely contested local election in Istanbul.
