According to a report by turizmus.com, the company shared on their official Facebook page that the light ferry on Lake Balaton is available for passengers every day. The ferry operates in the morning between 7 AM and 8.15 AM, and in the afternoon between 4 PM and 5.15 PM.
The state-owned Balaton Shipping Company (Bahart) recently received new ferries and catamarans in 2023, which were built at the Komárom shipyard as part of a EUR 5 billion investment. These new vessels have improved transportation options for locals and tourists around Lake Balaton, with faster crossings and the ability to transport more bicycles. The development is also expected to help reduce car traffic in the area.
