Turkey Strengthens Cooperation with Spain in Defense Industry
The President of the Defense Industry, Haluk Görgün, recently announced on his social media account the strengthening of cooperation with Spain in the defense industry. He emphasized the importance of sharing national and domestic technologies with friendly countries, highlighting the significance of the memorandum of understanding signed between Turkey and Spain.
Görgün expressed pride in the historical step taken in the defense industry with the signing of the agreement with Spain, a longstanding ally in NATO. The memorandum of understanding will pave the way for collaboration on the Jet Training Aircraft Project between the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industries and the Spanish Ministry of Defense.
This agreement signifies Turkey’s commitment to developing independent technologies and fostering strong partnerships with friendly and allied countries. Görgün extended his gratitude to all the SSB units and the team of TAI for their contributions to the success of this process. He also congratulated the Turkish Ambassador to Madrid and the Turkish Armed Forces Attaché for their roles in the agreement.
