Stalemate in Fourth Round of Voting for Töre as Assembly Adjourns – BRTK

In the latest round of voting for the presidency of the Assembly of the Republic, Zorlu Töre, the nominee from the National Unity Party (UBP), did not see any changes in the outcome. The voting results showed 25 votes against, 23 in favor, and 1 abstention.

Despite four rounds of voting, the absolute majority required for Töre’s presidency could not be achieved. As a result, the General Assembly of the Parliament was temporarily adjourned for 10 minutes at the request of the UBP Group President.

Following the short break, it is anticipated that the fifth round of voting will commence to determine the next president of the Assembly of the Republic. Stay tuned for further updates on this developing political situation.
