Prime Minister Ünal Üstel Stands Against Human Rights Violations in South Cyprus
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel has spoken out against the recent intimidation tactics employed by the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus. These tactics, which initially targeted individuals on property issues, have escalated into human rights violations.
In a press statement, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel condemned the actions of the Greek Cypriot Administration, stating, “We condemn and closely follow the practices full of human rights violations that the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus has recently resorted to in order to intimidate the Turkish Cypriot People.”
He further emphasized that these tactics are aimed at hindering the economic development of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and deterring foreign investments.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel assured investors that the TRNC government stands behind every title deed granted and will continue to work with legal experts to address these illegal practices. He also highlighted the state guarantee on all title deeds, as per the constitution.
