Street Fight in Marmaris with a Machete
A shocking incident occurred on 36th Street in Tepe Mahallesi, Marmaris district around 17:00. It was reported that a fight erupted in traffic for reasons unknown. Startled citizens looked out of their windows to see a man brandishing a sword-like machete at another individual during the altercation.
The intense moments of the confrontation were captured on mobile phone cameras by onlookers. In the footage, a man could be seen approaching the person he was arguing with while waving the machete. Fortunately, the situation was defused by the intervention of acquaintances, and the man eventually left after unloading items from his car’s trunk and reloading them.
Surprisingly, neither the individuals involved nor the witnesses reported the incident to the police. However, after the images circulated on social media, the police took action following the orders of the Marmaris Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, but authorities have launched an investigation into the machete fight that took place in the middle of the street.
