Stunning Hungarian Church Inaugurated in Slovakia – Photos

A new church built with the support of the Hungarian government was inaugurated in Gabcikovo (Bős), Slovakia on Sunday. Speaking at the ceremony, Miklós Soltész, the state secretary for church and minority relations, called the construction of the church “an example of the power of cooperation”. The Slovakian Reformed Christian Church bishop, Róbert Géresi, described the day as one of joy for the whole church, adding that until now, members of the local congregation had worshipped in a home. The Hungarian Alliance leader, Krisztián Forró, said the church would serve as “a new bastion” of the Hungarian community in Slovakia. The Hungarian government contributed 90 million forints (EUR 244,000) towards the church’s construction.
