Stunning Images of Perseid Meteor Shower on Karacabey Coast
Around 20 thousand people gathered at Yeniköy Beach, organized through social media and hosted by Karacabey Municipality, to observe the meteor shower and camp overnight. Sky enthusiasts and nature lovers from various provinces came together for this event, which also featured presentations and speeches from experts in different fields.
At 23:00, the lights in the Bosphorus area were turned off, allowing the attendees to watch the night sky in complete darkness. The event organizer and nature photographer, Alper Tüydeş, expressed his happiness at the high level of participation this year, noting that the event has been growing steadily over the past 5 years and has now taken on the scale of a festival.
Tüydeş mentioned that they aim to promote both the region and Bursa through this event, which has gained an international dimension with guests from abroad. With an estimated 20 thousand attendees this year, the event has become one of the largest observation events in Turkey, providing an unforgettable experience for all who join.
Participants like Fatih Ortabağ, attending with his family for the first time, shared their excitement and satisfaction with the atmosphere of the event. Another attendee, Arda Gürses, who has been coming to the event for 5 years, mentioned how enjoyable it is to witness the meteor shower each year and how the experience keeps getting better.
