Stunning Views of Lake Balaton Beach and Shore in Keszthely captured in Photos and Video
The Mayor of Keszthely, Jenő Manninger, has unveiled exciting plans for the development of the Lake Balaton shore. With an impressive budget of HUF 8.7 billion (EUR 22.6 million), the project will see significant expansion and enhancement of the town’s main beach.
According to reports from turizmus.com, the first phase of the construction will involve an investment of HUF 1.5 billion (EUR 3.88 million), with the authorization process currently underway. The project aims to create a more vibrant and inviting lakeside area, with the addition of a new promenade and various catering units.
The plans also include the preservation of green spaces, with only 8.1% of the territory earmarked for the new construction. Additionally, a line of restaurants and pubs is set to be established, catering to visitors even during the off-peak seasons.
All catering establishments will feature dual entrances, providing accessibility for both beachgoers and promenade strollers. Construction is scheduled to commence in 2025, with the first phase being funded by the European Union’s TOP programme.
Furthermore, the development will incorporate a fountain, new parking facilities, and commemorative restaurant and buffet buildings designed to reflect Keszthely’s rich history. Mr. Manninger has confirmed that the authorization plans are finalized, allowing for local input and modifications.
The public procurement process is expected to commence in January, paving the way for the construction to begin in the autumn of 2025. Future phases of the project will encompass the construction of a sauna and event facilities, further enhancing the overall appeal of the Lake Balaton shore in Keszthely.
Exciting visual representations of the development plans, including photos and a video, have been shared by the town’s leadership, offering a tantalizing glimpse of what’s in store for this picturesque lakeside destination.
