Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Expected Across Hungary in Coming Days
Hungary is set to be hit with rain and heavy precipitation in the coming days, with showers and thunderstorms expected until Thursday. A shallow cyclone arrived in Hungary last Thursday and is expected to produce the highest amount of rainfall at this time of year. Meteorologist László Molnár, an expert at Kiderül.hu, forecast that the heaviest rainfall will be in the western Transdanubian area, with 10-20mm of rain expected across the country. However, on Friday, the weather is predicted to change radically. Only scattered precipitation is likely from Saturday, with summer arriving with highs of 22-27 degrees. The longer-term forecast predicts that the warmer, drier weather will turn to rainfall again around 6-8 June.
