A pivotal panel discussion took place in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, focusing on the future of the Turkish world and the crucial support of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). However, he noted that despite these challenges, the Turkish States Organization (TDT) has emerged as an essential body for collaboration among member nations, with the TRNC recognized as an observer member.

Cumabekov underscored the necessity for Turkish states to form a robust coalition similar to the European Union. He remarked on the shared cultural and linguistic ties among approximately 300 million people in the Turkish world, emphasizing the untapped potential of collective action.
Kesikbayev elaborated on ongoing efforts towards a joint alphabet in the TDT, indicating a broader agreement among member states. Hakimov reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s commitment to fostering camaraderie with other Turkish nations, advocating for deepened relations amidst the backdrop of shared challenges.
Hungary’s Role and TRNC Support
Hendrich proposed that Hungary could serve as a bridge between the Turkish world and Europe, emphasizing the importance of unity for collective strength. Güler, Special Advisor to the TRNC President, expressed gratitude towards Azerbaijan, particularly President Ilham Aliyev, for supporting the TRNC. He highlighted Azerbaijan’s victory in the Second Karabakh War as a symbol of solidarity within the Turkish world.
Furthermore, Güler pointed to pressures exerted by external forces, including the United Nations, on Turkish Cypriots, asserting the enduring bond and solidarity among Turkish states.
