Supreme Court Upholds Sentence for Job Absenteeism

A man working as an emergency medical technician in Kırıkkale has been sentenced to 2 years and 1 month in prison for forging medical reports in order to avoid going to work. According to reports, the man changed the dates on his medical documents using the Photoshop program to create fake reports.
The man initially received a 30-day rest report after surgery, which he then altered to show only 20 days off. He continued this pattern by creating fake reports after receiving other medical evaluations. Upon discovering the fraudulent reports, a criminal complaint was filed against the man.
After a public lawsuit was filed against him for “forgery of official documents,” the Sulakyurt Criminal Court of First Instance sentenced him to prison. Despite the defendant’s lawyer appealing the decision, arguing that the reports were not deceptive, the 11th Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Appeals upheld the sentence.
This case serves as a reminder of the consequences of falsifying official documents. It is important to always be truthful and honest in all aspects of life, including medical situations.
