Surprise Arrest: Captain’s Girlfriend caught in Cartel Raid

A shocking story emerged from Barranquilla, Colombia, as a woman named Michellys Lorena Marino Restrepo was arrested following a raid in the city’s San José neighborhood. The Metropolitan Police seized approximately 2 kilos of cocaine, a gun, a vehicle, and three mobile phones during the operation. Marino Restrepo currently faces charges related to the production, trafficking, and transportation of both drugs and firearms.
What made this story even more intriguing was the revelation that the arrested woman was allegedly in love with none other than Captain Leandro Aldemar Ureña Polo, who was in charge of the police station. As the investigation continued, questions arose about the possible involvement of the captain in the lover’s crimes, although there is no indication yet that he was directly involved. The captain reportedly remained at the station during the raid, but the details surrounding this issue are still unclear.
This incident comes at a time when the head of the Colombian National Police, General William Salamanca, has launched a campaign to root out corruption among civil servants in the country, leading to an increase in the number of security forces arrested for unlawful activities. As a result, the investigation into the relationship between the captain and Marino Restrepo continues, leaving many puzzled by the nature of their connection and the possible implications for law enforcement.
