Survival at Sea: Dramatic Rescue as Boat Sinks and 3 Face Death

Three people were rescued by the Coast Guard after their boat sank off the coast of Madenli Yacht Harbour in the Gulf of Iskenderun. The incident occurred at around 08:30 when the Coast Guard received a tip-off about the sunken boat. The boat belonging to the Coast Guard Command quickly arrived at the scene and found the three individuals floating in the sea. The boat owner, Rıfat Bozkır, along with Nuri Gökhan Seçkin and Ender Balcı were identified as the people in the sunken boat.

It was revealed that the individuals had set out on a fishing trip with a boat named ‘Buseli’ when the boat suddenly started taking in water. Despite efforts to control the situation, the boat continued to sink, prompting the individuals to call for help.

The Coast Guard teams successfully rescued the three individuals and handed them over to the 112 Emergency Service teams at the Madenli Marina for health checks. Following their treatment at Arsuz State Hospital, the individuals were discharged.

The cause of the boat sinking is currently under investigation. The quick response and efficient actions of the Coast Guard teams undoubtedly saved the lives of these individuals, highlighting the importance of timely intervention in emergency situations at sea.
