
Surviving 72 Hours: The Shocking Location that Saved Ece Gürel

Ece Gürel, a resident of the Kağıthane Gültepe neighborhood, went missing on Sunday, March 2nd while heading to the Belgrade Forest. After four days, search and rescue teams finally found her asleep in the forest at 01:15.
The search was carried out by a 4-person riot force and a 12-person non-governmental organization team. The discovery of Gürel brought relief to her loved ones and the community.
There was speculation about how Ece Gürel managed to survive for 72 hours in the cold forest. According to reports, her high body temperature helped her endure the harsh conditions during her time in the wilderness.
After being found, Ece Gürel was immediately taken to Seyrantepe Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital for treatment. However, it was reported that her heart stopped in the morning at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital, where she was transferred for further care.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya issued a statement commending the efforts of the search and rescue teams involved in finding Gürel. He expressed gratitude to all the volunteers and organizations that participated in the rescue mission.
