The Sinop Governorship has issued a statement regarding the prohibition of swimming in the sea on the northern coasts of the province. The Provincial General Hygiene Board, led by Governor Mustafa Özarslan, convened to address the issue.

According to the statement, the General Directorate of Meteorology has forecasted rough weather conditions in the northern parts of Sinop, including Türkeli, Ayancık, Sarıkum, İnceburun, Hamsilos, Akliman, Kumkapı, and Adabaşı. Waves are expected to reach between 1 and 1.4 meters in height, with strong winds blowing from the west and northwest directions at speeds of 25-30 kilometers per hour, resembling a storm.

In order to safeguard the lives and property of citizens, swimming in the sea has been prohibited on Sunday, June 30, along the northern coasts of Sinop. This ban applies to areas including Türkeli, Ayancık, Erfelek, Sarıkum, İnceburun, Hamsilos, Akliman, Kumkapı, and Adabaşı.
