Syrian Islamic Scholar Expresses Gratitude to President Erdoğan

Following the end of the civil war in Syria in 2011, many lives were lost and hundreds of thousands of people sought refuge in neighboring countries like Turkey. As Syria gradually started to stabilize and people were able to return home, one Syrian Islamic scholar, Abdullaziz Elhatip Elhasani, took the opportunity to express his gratitude to the Turkish people and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Elhasani acknowledged the hardships faced by the Syrian people under the brutal Assad regime, with thousands losing their lives and many more being injured. He also highlighted the destruction caused by bombings, stating that efforts are now underway to rebuild the buildings destroyed during the conflict.
In his statement, Elhasani expressed deep appreciation for the support and hospitality extended to the Syrian people by Turkey and its leader, President Erdoğan. He emphasized that while other Arab states turned away from the struggles of the Syrian people, President Erdoğan stood by them and provided much-needed assistance.
Elhasani also addressed the strained relations between Syria and Turkey, noting that if Assad had accepted the help offered by President Erdoğan earlier, the situation may have been different. As a gesture of gratitude, he apologized to the Turkish people for any inconvenience caused by the Syrian refugees and thanked them wholeheartedly for their compassion and support.
The words of Abdullaziz Elhatip Elhasani serve as a reminder of the importance of solidarity and kindness in times of crisis, and the ongoing efforts to rebuild and heal the wounds of the Syrian people.
